The JPW-BA is a long distance / CCTV adaptor for the JP Series. Used as a long distance adaptor, it will allow the distance to the video door station to be extended to up to 980’. Used as a CCTV adaptor, it will allow for an analog CCTV camera to be connected in conjunction with the GT-D audio door station. The JPW-BA will surface mount using the mounting holes or with the W-DIN11 mounting rail. It is powered with a PS-2420UL. Each JPW-BA is used for one feature only. For multiple cameras or if both features are required, add the appropriate number of adaptors.

1) How far can the Aiphone JPW-BA extend the run from a JP Series door station to the master station?
The JPW-BA pushes the total video door station run out to 980 feet max. That total is split: up to 650 feet from the adaptor to the door station, and up to 330 feet from the adaptor back to the master station. Plan the adaptor's mounting location around that split, not just the overall figure, because exceeding either leg will cost you the run even if the total is under 980.
2) What wire do I have to run with the JPW-BA long distance adaptor?
It only holds distance on low capacitance wire: 2-conductor, low cap, PE, solid, non-shielded Aiphone #851602, or #851602DBW if the run is direct burial. Standard station wire will not get you to the rated distance. If you're using the adaptor for a CCTV camera instead, that leg runs on BNC/coax.
3) Can one JPW-BA do both the long distance extension and the CCTV camera at the same time?
No. Each JPW-BA does one job only, either long distance or CCTV. If you need both features on the same system, or you're bringing in more than one camera, order one adaptor per feature and one per camera.
