Yes. The box is weather resistant and vandal resistant, built from 18-gauge stainless steel, with a drainage opening at the bottom so water that gets in runs out rather than sitting against the station. That is the exterior gate and building entry use case.
4) Does the SBX-AXDV30 work with any Aiphone door station, or only the AX-DV?
Only the AX-DV video door station. The SBX-AXDV30 is cut for that station's footprint in the AX Series, so an AX audio-only station or a station from another Aiphone family will not drop into it.

The mounting hardware comes with the box: 8x32 screws with a T-15 Torx head. You will want a T-15 Torx driver on the truck, since a standard Phillips will not turn them. Wall anchors suited to your substrate are the installer's responsibility.
6) Should I use a 30 degree angle box or mount the AX-DV flat against the wall?
Mount flat when the station sits right at the door and the visitor stands square in front of it. Go to the 30 degree box when the station has to be offset, a wide entry, a pair of doors, or a return wall, and a flat mount would aim the camera past the visitor's shoulder. The angle turns the camera face back toward the approach and gives you a usable image instead of an ear.
7) How does the wiring get into the SBX-AXDV30 angle box?
There is space inside the box for the cabling, so the station's wiring is dressed within the housing rather than run exposed on the wall face. Plan your wall penetration to land inside the 7-11/16 x 3-7/8 x 2-7/8 inch footprint, and keep the bottom drainage opening clear when you route.
