The box measures 6-13/16 inches H x 3-5/8 inches W x 2-7/8 inches D and mounts to a flat wall surface, so it sits proud of the wall rather than dropping into a cut-in. Plan your conduit or cable stub inside that 6-13/16 by 3-5/8 footprint; the box has internal space for the cabling.
3) Will the SBX-DV30 fit any Aiphone door station, or only certain ones?
It is built for the JF-DV and MK-DV video door stations. It is not a universal back box, so if your station is a different Aiphone series, match the angle box to that station rather than assuming this one will take it.
4) Can the Aiphone SBX-DV30 be used outdoors at an exterior entry?
Yes. The box is 18-gauge stainless steel, weather resistant and vandal resistant, with a drainage opening at the bottom so water that gets behind the station can escape. That drain opening has to stay at the bottom, so mount it in the orientation it is made for.
5) Does any mounting hardware come with the Aiphone angle box or do I supply my own?
Fasteners are included: 8-32 screws with a T-15 Torx head. Bring a T-15 Torx driver to the install, since the tamper-style head is part of what makes the assembly vandal resistant. Anchors for the wall substrate are a separate item.
