1) Will a wedge anchor work in block or brick, or is it concrete only?
Wedge anchors are for solid, poured concrete. The clip needs a continuous dense base material to expand against, so hollow CMU, mortar joints, and brick are the wrong application for the TS45121SSD. For block or brick, use a sleeve anchor or a screw anchor rated for masonry instead.
2) Can I use stainless wedge anchors outdoors or in a wet area?
Stainless steel is the reason to pick the TS45121SSD over a zinc plated wedge anchor. It holds up in exterior concrete, wash-down areas, parking structures, and coastal or chemically damp environments where plated carbon steel anchors rust and lose hold. For dry interior concrete, a plated anchor of the same 1/2 x 5-1/2 size does the same mechanical job for less.
3) Are wedge anchors reusable if I have to move the fixture?
No. Once the TS45121SSD is driven and torqued, the clip has expanded against the concrete and the anchor cannot be backed out and reused. You can remove the nut and the fixture, but the stud stays in the hole. Plan hole locations before you set them, and buy the box of 25 with a few spares.
