At 1-3/4 inches overall, the JTS1134 has to give up length to both embedment in the concrete and the thickness of what you are clamping, so it suits thin material: strut, conduit clamps, light brackets, box mounting plates. If you are anchoring through a thick base plate or a wood sleeper, step up to a longer 1/4 inch anchor instead so you keep enough of the anchor in the slab.

It is a steel anchor with zinc plating, which is a dry-interior finish. Zinc plating handles indoor concrete and block fine, but it will corrode in exterior, wet, or coastal exposure and in anything chemically aggressive. For outdoors or wash-down areas use a stainless wedge anchor of the same 1/4 inch diameter.

Wedge anchors, including the 1/4 x 1-3/4 JTS1134, work by expanding a clip against the wall of a drilled hole, so they need solid base material: poured concrete. In hollow block cells or soft brick there is nothing for the clip to bite and the anchor will spin or pull. For hollow masonry use a toggle or a sleeve type anchor instead.

JTS1134 is the Metallics number for the 1/4 inch by 1-3/4 inch zinc plated steel wedge anchor, supplied 100 to a jar. Order by that number when you are matching an existing spec or restocking a shop bin.

The anchor arrives assembled with its nut and washer, so nothing is added to the fastener itself. What you supply is the tooling: a hammer drill with a 1/4 inch carbide bit, a blow-out bulb or vacuum to clear the hole, a hammer to drive the anchor flush, and a wrench or impact to pull the nut up and set the clip. Overtightening past the point where the anchor stops turning gains nothing.

No. Once the nut draws the cone into the expansion clip the anchor is permanently set; backing the nut off does not release it. The nut and washer come off so you can swap the fixture, but the body stays in the slab. Plan on cutting or grinding it flush rather than recovering it, and buy the 100 count jar accordingly if the job involves any trial fitting.
