1) Do I need a powder actuated tool to install these pins?
No. These are hand drive pins, set with a hammer into a pre-drilled hole, not fired from a powder actuated or gas tool. If you are fastening into steel deck or hard structural steel where a hammer-set pin will not hold, you want a powder actuated fastener instead.
2) Is the JDP7 drive pin OK for outdoor or damp locations?
The JDP7 is zinc plated steel, which is a light corrosion coating meant for dry interior work. For exterior exposure, wet locations, or anywhere chlorides are in play, go with a stainless or hot dip galvanized fastener rather than standard zinc plated.
3) Can hand drive pins be removed and reused?
Treat them as permanent. A hand drive pin wedges in the hole as it is hammered home, so pulling one usually damages the pin and the hole. If you need a fastening you can take apart and re-tighten, use a threaded anchor such as a wedge anchor or a sleeve anchor with a machine bolt.
