The TS34812D is zinc plated carbon steel. Zinc plating handles indoor and normally dry conditions and gives limited protection in occasional damp exposure, but it is not a stainless or hot-dip galvanized anchor. For permanent outdoor, coastal, or wet process areas, specify a stainless steel or hot-dip galvanized wedge anchor instead.

At 8-1/2 inches overall, the 3/4 inch TS34812D leaves plenty of shank to pass through a thick steel base plate, a grout bed, or a leveling shim stack and still reach embedment in the concrete below. Add your fixture thickness plus any grout to the embedment depth you need and confirm the total fits within 8-1/2 inches, with the nut and washer taken off the top.

Wedge anchors like the TS34812D are for solid, poured concrete. They expand against the wall of the drilled hole, which needs the compressive strength and the solid section of concrete to hold.
