Arrow SRX01 - Exit Device Trim, Passage Function, Sierra Lever with Rose

Non-handed. The SRX01 is field reversible, so one part covers left hand, right hand, and reverse bevel openings. That is worth knowing if you are stocking spares for a building: a single trim number covers every door instead of splitting your shelf by hand.

There is no cylinder and no key. Passage function, ANSI Function 14, means the lever is always operative, so anyone can pull the door open from the outside at any time. Security comes only from the exit device latching when the door is closed, and this trim never locks it out. For a door that has to stay secure from outside, look at a keyed function instead, such as the Design Hardware KIL storeroom trim or the Marks USA M195F storeroom lever/rose trim.

No. The SRX01 is a mechanical passage trim and has no electrified option. For access control, electrified exit trim is the substitute: Command Access ET15, ET25 and ET26 all run 12V or 24V with fail safe and fail secure options, with the ET26 built to Grade 1 with a field reversible design, and Command Access 230L is an electrified version of the Von Duprin 230L for V96, 36 and 23 Series devices. Von Duprin E360L-BE-03 is a Grade 1 electric passage trim, fail safe, for 33/35A Series devices, and Falcon 510L-FSA/FSE is an electrified heavy duty lever trim for 25 Series devices. Dormakaba offers standalone credential trim instead of wired power: the E-Plex 201U is an electronic pushbutton exit trim and the PowerPlex P201U covers rim, mortise and surface vertical rod devices.

Von Duprin's E360L-BE-03 is also a passage function trim, built for 33/35A Series devices with an 03 lever. The deciding factor is the device on the door, not the lever: the SRX01 mounts to Arrow ED910, S1150 and S1250 Series exit devices, so a Corbin Russwin or Von Duprin passage trim is an equivalent only when the device is being changed out with it.

Each of these mounts to its own device family, so match the trim to the exit device already on the opening.

No. The SRX01 is made for Arrow ED910 Series and S1150 and S1250 Series exit devices, and exit trim is prepped to its own device family. For a Von Duprin 22 Series device the trim options include the 210K-BE knob with blank escutcheon and the 230DT dummy trim; for 33/35A Series the E360L-BE-03 passage trim. Falcon devices take Falcon trim: 510L for 24/25 Series, 179L for 1790 Series, 212L for 20 Series. Match the trim to the device already installed rather than to the lever style.

Both. The SRX01 is a rim or SVR trim, so it works on rim devices and on surface vertical rod devices in the Arrow families it is built for. Mortise devices are a different trim setup.

Projection is 2-9/16 inches off the door face. That matters where the door swings toward a wall, a return corridor, or another leaf, and where a stop or holder has to clear the lever.

The Sierra lever on the SRX01 is an ADA compliant lever, so it operates without grasping, pinching, or twisting the wrist. It is a commercial rated trim, which is what you want on institutional openings.

Rose trim, not an escutcheon plate. The Sierra lever mounts on a 3-11/32 inch wrought rose and is thru-bolted through the door to the device. If the existing trim was a full escutcheon, the rose will leave a smaller footprint and may not cover the old prep.

Corbin Russwin makes passage function trim across its Grade 1 exit device lines: the 3310AET for ED3000 Series rim, surface vertical rod, and mortise devices, the x810ET for ED4000 Series, and the x910ET heavy duty trim for ED5200S/ED5200/ED5400/ED5800. Those are the closest function match, but each is tied to its own device family, so the choice follows whichever exit device is already on the door.

Escutcheon trim is prepped to its own device family, so it is a substitute only alongside the matching exit device.

The SRX01 is passage function, which leaves the outside lever always operative and is not what a classroom door usually calls for. Classroom function trim is available as Falcon 510L, a heavy duty classroom lever trim for 24/25 Series devices, Falcon 179L, a medium duty classroom lever trim for 1790 Series devices, and Accentra 446F, a Grade 1 classroom function trim with an Augusta lever. Swapping to one of these means adding a cylinder and a keying schedule that the SRX01 opening does not have.

Two: 626 satin chrome and 613 oil-rubbed satin bronze. 626 is the usual match for schools, offices, and anything already running satin chrome or satin stainless hardware; 613 is the dark bronze for wood door and storefront packages. Pick the one that matches the rest of the openings in the building.

If the outside of the door only needs a grab point and the door is opened by key or stays unlocked, a pull is simpler and has nothing to break. The SRX01 lever earns its place when the outside has to actively retract the latch through the device, which is what passage function does. Exit only pull trims like the BEST 1700 Series (wide stile) and the 2000 Series narrow stile pull with cover plate do not operate the latch at all.

The SRX01 is a non-handed design that is easily field reversible, so one part covers left and right hand openings. Among other lever trims, Sargent 704ET is a night latch lever trim with field reversible operation and Command Access ET26 is a Grade 1 electrified trim with a field reversible design. Non-handed trim matters when stocking for a building with doors swinging both ways, because it removes the risk of receiving the wrong hand.
