1) What cable sizes does the B-Line BXM-67 flange clip hold?
The BXM-67 fastener takes cable from .218 in up to .281 in in diameter, which covers 14/2, 12/2 and 10/2 romex with ground. Anything larger, like 10/3 or 8/2, is outside that range and needs a bigger clip.
2) What thickness of steel flange will the BXM-67 clip snap onto?
It grips flange material from 0.13 in to 0.25 in thick. That covers typical bar joist and beam flange edges in that range; on thinner sheet metal the clip will be loose, and on anything over 1/4 in it will not seat.
3) Can I run romex along a steel beam without drilling or shooting anchors?
That is exactly what this B-Line fastener is for. It clips onto the flange edge of the steel and holds the cable, so there is no drilling, no powder-actuated pins and no separate anchor. Secures cable along flanges is the stated application, and the mounting method is flange only, so it does nothing for you on concrete, wood or drywall.
4) Is the B-Line BXM-67 cable fastener corrosion protected?
It is zinc plated steel, which suits dry interior commercial work. For a wet, washdown or exterior corrosive location you would want stainless hardware instead.
