B-LINE SB561423CW – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the B-Line Eaton SB561423CW base guard box, and what does it do on an open frame rack?
It's the base guard box component for Eaton B-Line series open frame relay racks, model designation "Base guard box." It mounts at the foot of the rack to enclose and protect cabling and terminations entering at the base. It ships with the mounting hardware needed to attach it.
2) What are the dimensions of the SB561423CW base guard box?
The base guard box measures 25.94 inches wide, 6 inches high and 5 inches deep, and weighs 11.5 lb. The 25.94 inch width is the dimension to check first, since it has to line up with the footprint of the open frame rack you're fitting it to.
3) Is the SB561423CW a full rack or just an accessory?
It's an accessory, not a rack. The SB561423CW is the base guard box for Eaton B-Line series open frame racks. If you need the frame itself, order the open rack and add this box for base cable protection.
4) Is the Eaton B-Line base guard box steel, and what gauge?
Steel, 14 gauge. That's the same material and gauge as the Eaton B-Line open frame racks it fits, so the finish and rigidity match the rack rather than being a lighter add-on cover.
5) Do I need to buy extra hardware to install the B-Line base guard box?
No. Mounting hardware is included with the base guard box, so no separate fastener kit is needed to attach it to the rack base. At 11.5 lb it's a one-person install.
