B-LINE SB561419YZ – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Do I need to buy separate screws to mount the B-Line base guard box?
No. Mounting hardware ships with the SB561419YZ base guard box, so you aren't sourcing rack screws separately for it.
2) Will this fit a B-Line enclosed network cabinet instead of an open rack?
This one is built for Eaton B-Line series open frame racks, not enclosed cabinets. A cabinet already has base panels and a different frame profile, so for a cabinet you want the manufacturer's cabinet base kit instead of this guard box.
3) What exact part number should I put on the purchase order for the B-Line base guard box?
Order it as Eaton B-Line SB561419YZ. That's the full model designation, with the YZ suffix identifying the yellow zinc chromate finish.
4) Is the yellow zinc finish on this B-Line rack accessory okay for a data room floor?
Yellow zinc chromate over 14 gauge steel is a plated corrosion finish meant for dry indoor use, which is what a conditioned MDF or telecom room is. It is not a painted architectural finish, so if the guard is in a visible lobby-side installation, expect a plated gold-cast look rather than the network blue of the rack itself.
