B-LINE SB561423YZ – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Eaton B-Line SB561423YZ base guard box actually for?
It's the base guard box component for Eaton B-Line series open frame relay racks, built from 14 gauge steel and finished in yellow zinc chromate. It mounts at the base of the rack to enclose and protect cable entry and the rack footing. Mounting hardware is included.
2) Do I need to buy separate bolts or clips to attach the B-Line base guard box?
No extra fasteners to source. Mounting hardware ships with the SB561423YZ base guard box.
3) Is the yellow zinc finish on this base guard box suitable for a telecom room, or do I need painted steel to match my racks?
The finish is yellow zinc chromate over steel, a plated corrosion-resistant finish rather than a paint match. If your racks are the Network Blue painted line, the base guard box will not match visually, so it is normally used where appearance is secondary, such as behind ladder rack or inside an equipment room.
4) Does this base guard box carry a UL listing or other certification I can put on a submittal?
It's a sheet steel rack accessory rather than a listed electrical device, so no product certification applies to it. Any listing requirement on your submittal will sit with the rack assembly and the equipment mounted in it.
