B-LINE SB111 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the B-Line SB111 tube end plug actually used for?
The SB111 is a yellow polyethylene end plug that caps the open tube ends of Eaton B-Line series cable grid rungs on open frame racks. It closes off the exposed tube so cable pulled across the rung is not dragged over a raw cut end.
2) Is the SB111 plug metal or plastic, and will it hold up in a data room?
It's polyethylene, not metal. That means no sharp edge against cable jackets and no corrosion, and the yellow colour makes the capped rung end easy to spot in a dim rack aisle. It is a non-load-bearing trim piece, weighing .063 lb.
