The B-Line PWK2315 Plexiglas window kit goes into a door cut-out of 24.62 inches by 16.62 inches. Lay that opening out and cut it before the kit goes on, because the frame covers the cut edge rather than the kit sizing itself to a smaller hole.
2) Can I use the PWK2315 window kit on a door narrower than 17 inches?
No. The cut-out alone is 16.62 inches wide and the kit frame runs wider than that, so the enclosure door has to give you flat, unobstructed surface beyond a 24.62 by 16.62 inch opening on all four sides. On a smaller door you need a smaller window kit, not this one.
3) Is the PWK2315 window kit a hinged door or a fixed window?
Fixed. The PWK2315 is a fixed Plexiglas window, so it gives you a permanent view of meters, gauges or breaker positions without opening the enclosure. If you need to reach the equipment behind the glazing, you open the enclosure door itself, not the window.
4) Will the B-Line PWK2315 window kit match my ANSI 61 gray electrical enclosure?
It will. The kit's steel frame is finished in ANSI 61 gray polyester powder coat, the same standard gray used on most industrial control enclosures, so it blends with existing B-Line, Hoffman or similar gray cabinets on the same wall.
5) What is the window glazing on the B-Line PWK2315 made of?
The viewing panel is Plexiglas, set into a steel frame. Plexiglas gives you a clear read on indicator lights and meter faces; it is not a substitute for arc-rated viewing windows, so specify accordingly if your facility has an arc flash viewing requirement.
