Yes. The E59-M30A115C02-D2 is a shielded sensor, so the sensing field is concentrated out the front face and the barrel can be embedded flush in surrounding metal without the metal triggering it. If you need an unshielded (non-embeddable) sensor for longer range, that is a different model.

It is rated NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12, 13, IP67 and IP69K, and IP69K is the high-pressure, high-temperature washdown rating. The tube is stainless steel with a polyphenylene sulfide front cap and a polycarbonate end bell, so the wetted body suits caustic washdown areas. Cable jacket is PVC, which is worth noting if your plant restricts PVC in specific zones.

It is the cabled version, supplied with a 2 meter (6.6 ft) PVC pigtail already attached. Nothing to order separately for the connection - you land the leads in your panel or junction box. There is no quick-disconnect on this version, so plan the cable run from the sensor location to the nearest box.

This one is normally closed: the circuit conducts when no target is present and opens on detection. That's the choice for fail-safe logic, since a cut cable or a dead sensor reads the same as a detected condition and the machine stops. If your logic expects a signal only when the target arrives, you want a normally open version instead - the switching action is fixed on this model, though the NPN/PNP polarity auto-configures.

There's a single LED that shows green when the sensor is powered and switches to red when the output is energized. That gives you both a power check and a target check from outside the machine, which is what you want when you're setting the mounting gap during commissioning.

Accuracy is better than 1 percent of the sensing distance, which is tight enough for part counting, end-of-travel confirmation, and rotational speed pickups on ferrous targets. Bear in mind it is an inductive sensor, so it detects metal only - use a photoelectric or capacitive sensor for plastic, glass, or liquid level.
