Bobrick 234-44 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is the Bobrick B-234-44?
It's a replacement lock and key set for a Bobrick coin box, sold as a repair part rather than a complete coin box. If the original key is lost or the cylinder is worn, this is the piece you order to get the box locking again.
2) Does the B-234-44 come with the key, or do I have to order that separately?
The key comes with it. The B-234-44 is sold as a lock and key set, so a facilities tech replacing a lost-key coin box gets both the cylinder and the key in one part number.
3) Is the Bobrick B-234-44 a whole coin box or just the lock?
Just the locking hardware. It's a repair part for a coin box, not the box itself, so the existing coin box, its mounting and its housing stay in place and only the lock and key get swapped.
4) Is there more than one version of the Bobrick B-234-44 to choose from?
No options to specify. The lock and key is offered in a single model, 234-44, so there is no finish, keyway or handing choice to make on the order.
5) Where does the Bobrick B-234-44 lock and key get used in a restroom?
It's washroom accessory hardware, used on the coin box of a coin-operated Bobrick restroom unit such as a vending or dispenser fixture. Property managers and MRO buyers typically keep one on hand for the same reason they stock partition hardware: the box stays, the lock is what fails or gets keys lost.
