Bobrick 2706T – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What coin or token does the Bobrick B-2706T napkin/tampon vendor take?
As shipped it runs on the Bobrick token, part no. 3706-405, or a single U.S. or Canadian quarter. Pennies, nickels and dimes bypass the mechanism and fall into the product tray rather than jamming it. The vend can be field converted from token to 25 cents, 50 cents, or free operation, so you're not locked into the token program.
2) Can I set this restroom vendor to dispense free instead of charging?
Yes. The B-2706T converts in the field from token operation to 25 cents, 50 cents, or free vend, which is what most schools and municipal buildings moving to no-cost period products need. No separate free-vend model to buy.
3) Will the B-2706T keys match the other Bobrick washroom accessories already in my building?
The two tumbler door locks are keyed like other Bobrick accessories, so one key serves the dispenser alongside your existing Bobrick towel and tissue cabinets. The coin box is separately keyed, which keeps cash access with management rather than with whoever restocks the paper.
4) Is the Bobrick B-2706T ADA compliant for operating force?
It is listed as ADA compliant. Operation is push-button, requiring less than 5 lb of force with no grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist. Mounting height is still yours to set correctly on the wall, since the unit surface mounts on an adjustable flange.
5) How many products does the Bobrick B-2706T hold before it needs refilling?
Capacity is 30 tampons and 20 napkins. Loading needs no weights or springs to reset, and an empty-product indicator automatically blocks the coin slot so a user isn't charged for a vend that won't come. For high-traffic restrooms that number drives your service route interval.
6) What happens if a user puts in the wrong coin or changes their mind?
A push-button coin return cancels the product selection. Returned coins, and wrong coins such as pennies, nickels and dimes, bypass the mechanism and drop into the product tray for retrieval. The single-coin slot design is what keeps the mechanism jam resistant, which cuts the service calls that dual-slot vendors generate.
7) What material and finish is this Bobrick napkin vendor, and will it hold up in a public restroom?
Exposed surfaces are type 304 stainless steel in a satin finish, the standard spec for public and institutional washrooms because it resists corrosion and hides wear better than bright polish. Satin is the only finish offered on the B-2706T.
