Bobrick BOB-B-2800-28 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What Bobrick unit does the B-2800-28 lock and key fit?
The B-2800-28 is the replacement lock and key for the discontinued Bobrick Model B-2800 washroom accessory, and it is the UPPER lock position. If the unit you are servicing has more than one lock, make sure the one you need is the upper one before ordering.
2) Can I still get parts for a discontinued Bobrick B-2800?
Yes for the lock. Bobrick discontinued the B-2800 unit itself, but the B-2800-28 upper lock and key is still carried as a service part, so a facility with these units in the washrooms can rekey or repair rather than replace the whole accessory.
3) Does the Bobrick B-2800-28 come with the key, or is it lock only?
Both. It is supplied as a lock and key set, so you get the cylinder and its key together for the upper lock on a B-2800 unit.
4) Is the B-2800-28 a partition door lock or an accessory cabinet lock?
It is washroom accessory hardware, catalogued as partition hardware, used on the Bobrick B-2800 unit rather than on a toilet partition door as a latch. If you are looking for a stall door latch set, this is not that part.
