Bobrick 2800-48 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the Bobrick 2800-48 lock fit?
The 2800-48 is the replacement lower lock for the discontinued Bobrick B-2800 washroom accessory unit. It is specific to that model, so if the unit you are servicing is not a B-2800, this is not the part.
2) Can I return the Bobrick 2800-48 lock if I order the wrong one?
No. The 2800-48 is sold as a replacement part and hardware item and is non-refundable, so confirm the unit is a B-2800 and that the failed lock is the lower one before ordering.
3) The Bobrick B-2800 is discontinued. Can I still get parts for it?
Yes for the lock. The 2800-48 lower lock is still supplied as a service part for the discontinued B-2800, which lets you keep an existing washroom unit in service instead of replacing the whole cabinet.
4) Is the Bobrick 2800-48 a partition lock or a cabinet accessory lock?
It is washroom accessory hardware, classed as partition hardware, and it serves the lower lock position on the Bobrick B-2800 unit. It is not a door lockset and has no bearing on toilet partition door latching.
5) I manage several buildings with Bobrick washroom units. Will one 2800-48 lock key match my other Bobrick cabinets?
Keying across a fleet is not something the 2800-48 is specified for. It is a direct like-for-like lower lock replacement for the B-2800 unit only, so treat it as a repair part for that specific cabinet rather than part of a standardized keying program.
