Bobrick 2802x2-22 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Bobrick units does the B-2802x2-22 lock and key replace?
It is the replacement lock and key for the Bobrick B-2801 and B-2802 units, the B-2802 being a discontinued model. If the cabinet or dispenser you are servicing is one of those two, this is the correct lock assembly.
2) What does the "Lower" designation mean on the Bobrick 2802x2-22 lock and key?
The 2802x2-22 (Lower) is the lock and key for the lower lock position on the unit. Bobrick cabinets of this type use more than one lock location, so a lower-position lock and an upper-position lock are ordered separately. Check which position on the cabinet you are replacing before ordering.
3) Does the B-2802x2-22 come with the key, or do I need to order that separately?
The key is included. It ships as a lock and key set, so a facilities crew replacing a seized or lost-key lock gets both pieces in one part number.
4) I manage several restrooms with older Bobrick B-2802 units that are no longer made. Can I still keep them in service?
Yes. Although the B-2802 itself is discontinued, this lock and key is still sold as a service part for both B-2801 and B-2802 units, so an existing installation can stay in service without replacing the whole cabinet.
5) Will this Bobrick lock work on a toilet partition door or a different Bobrick washroom accessory?
No. It is washroom accessory hardware tied specifically to the B-2801 and B-2802 units, not a general partition door latch and not a substitute for a lock on another Bobrick model. For any other Bobrick unit, order the lock listed for that model number.
