Bobrick 3706-175 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Bobrick accessories does the B-3706-175 security lock and key fit?
The B-3706-175 security lock and key is the replacement lock for Bobrick models B-2706, B-3706, B-37063, B-370634 and B-370639. If your washroom unit is one of those, this is the lock and key that goes back into it. For any other Bobrick model, check the model number stamped on the unit first, because this part is listed for those five only.
2) What is the difference between the Bobrick CAT-118 lock and the standard CAT-74 lock?
CAT-74 is the locking system Bobrick installs on most of its accessories as standard. The CAT-118 system, which the B-3706-175 uses, is a separate keying that replaces CAT-74. That means a CAT-74 key will not open a unit converted to CAT-118, which is the whole point: it takes the cabinet off the common key that circulates through a building.
3) I manage several buildings and want all my Bobrick paper towel cabinets on one key. Will the B-3706-175 do that?
Yes, within the models it fits. Ordering the B-3706-175 for every B-2706, B-3706, B-37063, B-370634 and B-370639 unit puts them all on the CAT 118 key instead of the factory CAT-74. That gives your techs one key across those cabinets and keeps anyone holding a stock CAT-74 key out of them.
4) My Bobrick washroom cabinet lock is broken or the key is lost. Can I replace just the lock instead of the whole unit?
You can. The B-3706-175 is sold as a replacement lock and key for the cabinet, so a seized cylinder or a lost key does not mean buying a new dispenser. Confirm the unit is a B-2706, B-3706, B-37063, B-370634 or B-370639, since those are the models this lock is listed for.
5) Does the Bobrick B-3706-175 come with the key, or is that ordered separately?
Lock and key together. The B-3706-175 ships as a security lock with the CAT 118 key, so you are not sourcing the key as a second line item.
6) Is the Bobrick 352-122 the same thing as the B-3706-175?
The 352-122 is the Bobrick part designation behind the B-3706-175 CAT 118 security key locking system. If a spec sheet or an old order line references 352-122 for a CAT 118 lock, the B-3706-175 is what you order.
