Bobrick 39003-21 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Which Bobrick washroom accessories does the B-39003-21 lock and key fit?
The B-39003-21 is the replacement lock and key for Bobrick models B-353, B-354, B-359033, B-359039, B-3803, B-38032, B-38034, B-380349 and B-39003. If the unit on your wall is one of those, this is the correct lock assembly for it.
2) Will the Bobrick 39003-21 lock work on an older discontinued Bobrick dispenser?
Yes, for several discontinued units. Bobrick lists the 39003-21 lock and key as the replacement for the B-3570 Series, B-36003 Series, B-360039, B-36703, B-525, B-52507 and B-52503. That covers a lot of washrooms where the cabinet is still serviceable but the lock or key is gone.
3) Does the B-39003-21 come with the key, or is it lock only?
Both. The B-39003-21 is a lock and key assembly, so you get the cylinder and the matching key together. That matters if the reason you are ordering is a lost key rather than a failed lock, since replacing the pair restores access without drilling the old cylinder.
4) I manage several buildings with mixed Bobrick paper towel and napkin units. Can I standardize on one lock and key?
Across the Bobrick models it covers, yes. One part number, the B-39003-21, services B-353, B-354, B-3803, B-38032, B-38034, B-39003 and the rest of the listed range, so a maintenance cart can carry a single lock and key instead of one per cabinet type. Verify each unit's model number stamped on the cabinet against that list before you commit to a bulk order.
5) Is this a toilet partition lock or a dispenser cabinet lock?
It is washroom accessory hardware, not a door or stall latch. The B-39003-21 secures Bobrick washroom accessory units such as the B-3803 and B-39003 cabinets. If what you need is a stall door latch or strike for a toilet compartment, that is a different family of part.
6) What finish is the Bobrick B-39003-21 lock?
Satin. The B-39003-21 lock and key ships in satin finish, which is what the stainless washroom units it services are supplied in, so the replacement cylinder blends with the existing cabinet face rather than standing out.
