Metallics UB026 Bolts 1/2-13 X 6 X 4-1/4 U-Blt &Nt U (Box 10)

The UB026 is threaded 1/2-13, meaning a 1/2 inch diameter leg at 13 threads per inch, cut to ANSI/ASME B1.1. Any standard 1/2-13 coarse hex nut will thread on, so replacement nuts off the shelf work if one goes missing. Two hex nuts ship with each U-bolt.

Leg length is 6 inches, with the U opening dimensioned 4-1/4 inches across in the 1/2-13 x 6 x 4-1/4 callout. That 4-1/4 inch spread is what has to clear whatever you are strapping down, and the 6 inch legs set how much thread is left for the nuts after the bolt passes through your bracket or channel.

Yes. The UB026 is flagged both Buy American compliant and ARRA compliant, with country of origin the United States. That covers the documentation most federally funded and public agency specs ask for on fasteners.

They sell in a box of 10, and 10 count is the order minimum, so a single piece is not an option. Other sizes and quantities can be had by request.

It is steel with a zinc finish. Zinc plating handles indoor and sheltered outdoor service and normal condensation, but it is not stainless. For continuous wet exposure, coastal air, or chemical duty, go to a stainless U-bolt instead.

The hex nuts measure 0.736 to 0.750 inch across the flats with a height of 0.427 to 0.448 inch, which is the standard 3/4 inch hex for a 1/2-13 nut. A 3/4 inch socket or wrench drives them. Nut geometry follows ASME B18.2.2.

A U-bolt wraps around pipe, conduit, rigid tube, or a mast and the two threaded legs pass through a bracket, channel, or plate where the hex nuts clamp it. The UB026 is the 1/2-13 x 6 x 4-1/4 size, so it suits larger diameter runs and equipment restraint rather than small conduit. Both nuts are included; the backing plate or strut channel is a separate item.
