1) Will the Burndy YA34L fit 500 kcmil copper conductor, and can I use it on aluminum?
The YA34L is sized for 500 kcmil stranded copper only, one size, no range. Conductor material is listed as copper, so it is not an aluminum or dual-rated AL9CU lug. If you are terminating 500 kcmil aluminum, you need an aluminum-bodied compression lug instead.
2) What crimping die do I need for the YA34L lug?
