B-Line CABLE SUPPORT FITTING, SERIES 2,3,4&5, 5" / 6" HEIGHT, 9" WIDTH, 36" RADIUS, ALUMINUM

The 6A-09-CSF36 is built for B-Line Series 2, 3, 4 and 5 cable tray, in a 9 inch width with a 6 inch loading depth (5 inch NEMA) and a 36 inch radius. If your run is one of those four series and the straight sections are 9 inch wide, this fitting matches the tray geometry. A different tray width or a tray from another series line needs the fitting sized to that width instead.

The 36 inch figure is the fitting's own radius, so cable routed through it follows a 36 inch curve rather than turning sharply. That is the number to check against the minimum bending radius on your cable spec, particularly for large power feeders and fiber, where a tight turn is the difference between a pass and a damaged run. If your cable calls for less curvature, a smaller radius fitting in the same 9 inch width is the part to look for.

Aluminum. That keeps the fitting light for overhead work and is the usual choice where a steel tray body would be a corrosion concern, and it matches aluminum Series 2, 3, 4 and 5 tray. If your run is galvanized or stainless steel tray, order the fitting in the matching material so you are not mixing dissimilar metals at the splice.

Two different numbers for the same part. The 5 inch NEMA figure is the usable cable loading depth under the NEMA tray designation, while 6 inches is the overall side rail height of the fitting. Use the 5 inch value when you are calculating fill, and the 6 inch value when you are checking clearance above a ceiling grid or under a beam.

Order it as B-Line 6A-09-CSF36. That designation carries the aluminum material, the 9 inch width and the 36 inch radius, so a distributor does not need further clarification beyond confirming which of Series 2, 3, 4 or 5 tray it is joining.

The 6A-09-CSF36 is supplied as the cable support fitting itself. Splice plates, hangers, trapeze supports and hold-down hardware are separate items in the B-Line cable tray and strut lines, so count the connections at each end of the fitting and order that hardware alongside it if you do not already have it on site.
