The 6A-36-CSF48 is built for a 36 inch wide tray with a 6 inch side rail height, on a 48 inch radius. If your run is a different width or your rails are a different depth, this fitting won't line up at the splice plates, so match the width and rail height of the straight sections you're tying into before ordering.

It is listed for B-Line Series 2, 3, 4 and 5 tray. That covers the bulk of the aluminum ladder tray B-Line sells, so if your straight sections are from any of those four series at 36 inch width, this fitting belongs on the same run.

Aluminum. That matters for two reasons on a job: it keeps the weight down for anyone lifting a 36 inch wide fitting into place overhead, and it needs to be paired with aluminum tray and aluminum hardware to avoid dissimilar metal contact on the run.

Two different ways of stating the same rail. The 5 inch figure is the NEMA load depth classification used to spec the tray, while 6 inch is the actual outside height of the side rail. Contractors ordering to a drawing that calls for NEMA 5 inch tray and installers measuring an existing rail at 6 inches are both looking at the right part.

The 48 inch radius gives a long, sweeping bend, which is what you use when the cable in the tray has a large minimum bending radius, typically medium voltage power or large fiber bundles. Tighter radius fittings save space but can violate the cable's own bend radius. Check the cable manufacturer's minimum bend radius against the 48 inches before committing to this one.

The 6A-36-CSF48 is sold as the fitting itself. Splice plates, hardware and any supports needed at the bend are separate line items, so add them to the order along with the straight tray sections if you don't already have them on site.
