The CM-333 hand icon touchless switch is line powered and accepts 12VAC, 12VDC, 24VDC or 24VAC, drawing 40 mA. That covers the auxiliary output on most low voltage access control and operator power supplies, so no battery and no separate transmitter power is required for the switch itself.
2) Will the CM-333 relay switch a maglock or electric strike directly?
The single relay is rated 3 Amps at 30 V, which handles typical 12V/24V strike and maglock loads at or under that current. Anything above 3 A, or any line voltage device, needs to be driven through a separate relay or the power supply's own switching input rather than off the switch contacts.
3) What size electrical box do I need for a Camden CM-333/40 touchless switch?

The switch takes a request to exit input and a door position input. 7) How sensitive is the SureWave sensor, and will it false trigger from people walking past?
Sensing is active infrared air with an adjustable operating range and selectable motion sensing, so the detection distance can be dialled back on a narrow corridor or a high traffic lobby to keep passing foot traffic from activating the door.
8) Is there a light ring option to show when the CM-333 has activated?
Yes. A plug-in light ring is offered for single gang, double gang and 6 inch round stainless steel faceplates, with red, green and blue controlled either by the switch itself or remotely. It is a separate plug-in item, so order it along with the switch if you want the visual indication.
9) Can the CM-333 send the door release signal wirelessly instead of running wire across the opening?
Wireless is supported as an option on the CM-333, via an optional wireless transmitter. The switch itself is still line powered, so you save the run to the door controller, not the run to the switch.
