The CM-324 hand icon touchless switch is ordered by faceplate size, and all three sizes are available: single gang, double gang (the /W suffix) and narrow (the /N suffix). Single gang covers the common box, the narrow plate is for tight mullions or door frames where a full gang plate won't sit flat, and double gang suits an existing 2-gang opening. Pick the plate to match the box or frame you're mounting into, since the electronics are the same across all three.
2) What voltage does the Camden SureWave CM-324 run on, and how much current does it draw?

3) Can the CM-324 switch a door operator or a magnetic lock directly, or do I need an interposing relay?

If you're switching the lock power itself and the load exceeds 3 A at 30 V, or you're running anything above that voltage, put in an interposing relay rather than passing the current through this switch.

Activation range on the CM-324 is 1 to 30 inches and it's adjustable, so on a switch mounted near a busy corridor you can dial the range down to a few inches and require a deliberate wave. The output time delay is separately adjustable from 1 to 5 seconds, which sets how long the relay holds for each activation.

The relay contact is field selectable for fail-safe or fail-secure, so the same switch handles either lock type. Wire it normally closed for a fail-safe device such as a mag lock, or normally open for a fail-secure strike. No separate part number is required for one or the other.
6) Does the Camden CM-324 work reliably in bright sunlight or a dim vestibule?
It uses an active infrared air sensor rather than a light-dependent element, and Camden states it performs in all ambient lighting conditions. That matters in glass front entries and vestibules where a passive sensor can false trigger or go dead in direct sun.
