1) Will the CDVI KTAG25H key tag work on an existing HID 125 kHz prox reader?
The KTAG25H is a 125 kHz proximity tag with CDVI/HID encoding, so it reads on 125 kHz prox readers expecting HID encoding. It will not work on a 13.56 MHz smart card reader. If your system runs MiFare instead, CDVI's KTAGM (MiFare Classic 1K, 13.56 MHz) or KTAGMD (MiFare EV1 Desfire 4K, 13.56 MHz) are the matching tags.
2) What is the difference between the CDVI encoding and HID encoding versions of the KTAG25 prox tag?
Both are 125 kHz tags; the choice is which encoding format your controller is programmed to read. Order HID encoding if the site already runs HID-format credentials, and CDVI encoding if the panel is a CDVI system enrolled with CDVI-format numbers. Mixing formats on one reader is where people get failed reads, so match the tags to the credentials already enrolled.
3) Is the CDVI KTAG25H key tag pack the same thing as the CDVI A22KITSTB Atrium kit?
No. The KTAG25H is a credential only - a pack of 25 black 125 kHz proximity key tags, 44mm x 30mm x 4mm, with a sequential decimal number printed on each. It carries no reader and no controller. The CDVI A22KITSTB Atrium 2-Door Kit is a controller with reader package that bundles the A22 controller, two STARPB readers and 15 credentials. If you already have readers and a panel in place and simply need more tags to hand out, the key tag pack is the item; if you are building the door from scratch, the Atrium kit is the starting point.
4) We installed the CDVI Atrium 2-door kit and ran out of credentials - what do we order to add users?
The A22KITSTB kit ships with 15 credentials, so additional users need more tags ordered separately. The CDVI KTAG25H prox key tag comes 25 to a pack at 125 kHz with 26-bit formatting, and is offered in CDVI encoding and HID encoding so you can match whatever the existing tags in the system were programmed as. Each tag is printed with a sequential decimal number, which makes enrolling and tracking them per user straightforward.
5) How big is the CDVI KTAG25H key fob, and will it fit on a keyring in a pocket?

The Schlage Electronics CTE-MTB11-485-B is a single door controller with a mobile-enabled multi-technology reader on a direct RS-485 connection - multi-technology readers are built to accept more than one credential type, but the specific formats a given unit is configured to read must be confirmed against the reader's own credential list before you buy tags in quantity. If your system is CDVI, staying with CDVI or HID encoding on the tag is the cleanest path.
9) If we want smart card credentials instead of 125 kHz prox, what is the CDVI alternative to the KTAG25H?
