Metallics SWP1012 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the Metallics SWP1012 ceiling wire come with the attachment pin, or do I order that separately?
The pin and clip are both included and already tied to the wire. Ordering the SWP1012 gets you the complete 10 foot assembly, 100 of them, with nothing further to add for the hang itself.
2) How many ceiling wires come in a pack of Metallics SWP1012, and how are they packaged?
One hundred wires per pack, and they ship on a reel. Each is pre-tied with the pin and clip already attached, so there is no field tying or cutting to length at 10 feet.
3) Is the Metallics SWP1012 an electrical trade item or a general construction fastener?
It is an electrical department item, the kind of ceiling support wire used by electrical and low-voltage installers to suspend runs above a ceiling grid. The pre-tied 10 foot length with pin and clip is sized for typical plenum drops.
