Metallics SWLS126 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How long is each piece of Metallics SWLS126 ceiling wire, and how many come in a pack?
The Metallics SWLS126 ceiling support wire comes in 6 foot lengths, 100 pieces per pack. It ships as a reel pack, so you get the full 100-count bundle rather than loose cut pieces.
2) What does "no-loop pretied" mean on SWLS126 ceiling wire?
No-loop pretied means the 6 foot wires arrive already cut and tied as individual hanger wires with no formed loop on the end. You tie off to the structure yourself rather than hooking a prefabricated loop, which is what most electricians and ceiling installers want when the attachment point varies from one bay to the next.
3) Is the SWLS126 sold by the piece or only in full packs?
It's a 100-piece pack on a reel, ordered as one unit under part number SWLS126. If you need a different length for taller plenum space, look to another length in the same pretied ceiling wire line rather than splicing these.
4) What is ceiling support wire like the Metallics SWLS126 used for on a job?
It's the hanger wire used to suspend suspended-ceiling grid, light fixtures, and other overhead work from the structure above. Running it in 6 foot pretied lengths saves cutting on site; electrical contractors buy it by the 100-piece pack for grid and fixture support on commercial fit-outs.
