Deltana CHA2517 Cabinet Hinge, 2-1/2 x 1-3/4" Adjustable with Ball Tips (Pair)

Corners are square, not radiused, so it seats in a chiseled square-corner mortise. If the cabinet was routered with a bit that left rounded corners, you'd square the corners out with a chisel or choose a radius-corner hinge instead.

Seven finishes: Polished Brass, Unlacquered Brass, Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, and Polished Chrome. Unlacquered brass is the one to note, it has no clear coat and will patina with handling, so pick it only if you want that change or are matching other unlacquered hardware. The rest hold their appearance.

Ball tip finials are standard on the CHA2517, top and bottom, in the same finish as the hinge. Nothing extra to specify or order.

Solid brass through the body, not a plated steel core. That matters in a kitchen or bath where a plated hinge eventually rusts at the screw holes, and it's why the unlacquered version can patina rather than flake.

Deltana rates the CHA2517 for residential use. For millwork in a residence or an apartment unit kitchen, that's the intended application. For high-cycle commercial casework, a break room in an office building or institutional casework, spec a hinge rated for commercial duty instead.

This is an exposed butt-style cabinet hinge with visible ball-tipped barrel, the traditional look on inset and face-frame doors. It is not a concealed cup hinge, so if you're working with frameless boxes bored for 35mm cups, this won't drop in, you'd need a European concealed hinge. Choose the CHA2517 when the hinge is meant to be seen and matched to other exposed brass hardware.
