1) Do I need to order a left hand or right hand version of the CL5000PK?
No handing to specify. The CL5000PK is non handed and mounts on doors hung left or right, which matters if you're standardizing across a building with openings swinging both ways. The keypad mounts vertically.
2) What is the difference between the Standard and SFIC cylinder versions of the CL5000PK?
Two cylinder choices. Standard comes with a conventional cylinder. The SFIC version is prepped for a small format interchangeable core, but the core and keys are not included, so a facility running its own SFIC keying supplies its own core. Pick SFIC only if you already key that way; otherwise take Standard.
3) How many user codes can the Codelocks CL5000 panic access kit hold, and how are they programmed?
Up to 80 user codes in memory, each 4, 5 or 6 digits. Programming is done at the keypad on the door, so there's no software, no wiring and no cylinder pull to change a code. That's the usual reason a property manager picks this over a keyed exit trim on a high turnover opening.
4) Does the CL5000PK need to be wired to power?
No wiring. It runs on 4 AA batteries, rated up to 200,000 operations per set, and a red LED flashes on opening when the batteries are getting low. That makes it a straight retrofit onto an existing exit device with no electrician and no power transfer hinge.

Yes, it's rated for internal and external use. The body is zinc alloy in a brushed steel finish with individual stainless steel keypad buttons, and it's classed heavy duty for high traffic commercial openings such as schools, warehouses, hospitals and hotels.
