6) Does a concealed door loop power the lock, or do I still need a power supply?
It transfers power, it does not supply it. The CDL-EXT moves low voltage from the frame side into the door so the locking device in the leaf can be fed. You still need the power supply, the access control wiring run to the frame, and the electrified locking device itself. Budget the loop as one line item on the opening, not the whole electrified package.
