It's an EMT fitting. The BLB-5 is a Type LB conduit body built for use with EMT conduit, with smooth throats so conductors pull through without snagging. If your run is threaded rigid or IMC, this is the wrong body style for the connection.

The cover and gasket are separate line items. For the BLB-5, the die cast cover is CV-4 and the stamped aluminum cover is SCV-4. Gaskets are GKV-4 in composition or GKN-4 in neoprene. Pick the neoprene gasket for damp or wet locations where you want a tighter seal at the cover face. The body itself ships with retained stainless steel cover screws, so the screws stay in the cover and don't drop into the ditch.

The BLB-5 gives you 32 cubic inches of wiring chamber, which is what you use for your box-fill calculation under the NEC. Divide that by the per-conductor volume for the wire size you're pulling and you have your conductor count. It's a full splice chamber, not just a pull point, so making up connections inside it is an intended use.

It's priced each, but it ships in a multiple of 2, so quantities go 2, 4, 6 and so on. The inner pack is 2 and the outer carton holds 10, which is the figure to use if you're stocking a service truck or a job trailer.
