1) Is the BT-2 big enough to make splices inside, or is it only a pull point?
Wiring volume is 7.3 cubic inches, so there is room to pull conductors and make splices inside rather than just change direction. Box fill still governs how many conductors and splices you can legally put in that 7.3 cubic inches, so count your fill against the conductor sizes you are running.

4) Can I buy a single BT-2 conduit body, or is there a minimum order quantity?
The BT-2 is sold by the each, but it ships on a multiple of 10, with 10 to an inner carton and 50 to the outer. So order in tens. Each body weighs 0.45 lbs.
5) Is a die cast aluminum conduit body OK for a damp or corrosive location?
