1) Will a Delaney E Series lever drop into the existing 2-1/8 inch bore on my door?
It should. The E Series CT is a bored cylindrical lockset prepped for a 2-1/8 inch cross bore and a 1 inch edge bore, which is the standard prep already cut in most doors that have a cylindrical knob or lever in them. The latch face prep depends on backset: 1-1/8 x 2-1/4 inches for the 2-3/4 inch backset latch, 1 x 2-1/4 inches for the 2-3/8 inch backset latch, square corner either way.
2) Which backset do I order on the Delaney E Series entrance lever, 2-3/8 or 2-3/4?
Backset is a required selection, and you measure it from the door edge to the center of the bore. The E Series CT ships 2-3/4 inches as standard with the E9070T entrance latch, which is the usual commercial backset.
