Delaney Heavy Duty Shelf Support, US1 White Finish

That depends on which version you order. The Delaney heavy duty shelf support comes two ways: with a rod hook support, and without one. The rod hook version carries the closet rod off the same bracket, so a single part does the shelf and the hanging rod. The version without is a shelf bracket only, which is what you want on a linen closet or a pantry run where there's no rod. Pick the wrong one and you'll be back at the door with no rod support.

Not if you order the rod hook version. Delaney's heavy duty shelf support is available with an integrated rod hook support, so one zinc bracket carries both the shelf and the closet rod and you're installing a single part per position instead of a shelf bracket plus a separate rod cup. On a full apartment turn that halves the parts you're fastening into the wall.

The bracket measures 10 3/4" x 9/12" as published by Delaney. Use the 10 3/4 inch figure against your shelf depth: a bracket that runs 10 3/4 inches will sit under a standard closet shelf without overhanging the front edge on deeper shelving, but on a shallow shelf it will stick out past the front.

It's the bracket that supports the shelf, not a rod flange. The Delaney heavy duty shelf support mounts to the wall and holds the shelf up; the rod hook version adds a hook on the same bracket to carry the closet rod. If you're only after the small round cup that the end of a rod drops into, that's a different part.

The finish is US1 White, which is the standard white used across closet and cabinet hardware, so it reads the same as white shelving and white rod ends in a multi-family or hospitality turn. If you're standardizing brackets across a building, ordering all US1 White keeps the closets consistent unit to unit rather than mixing a white bracket with a plated one.
