1) Is the Delta Breez GreenBuilder GBR-A the housing only, or does it include the fan?
The GBR-A is the housing by itself, the galvanized box that mounts in the ceiling and takes the duct connection. It is the mounting housing for the GreenBuilder GBR80-100 fans, so the fan motor and grille assembly are ordered separately. Contractors normally set the housing during rough-in and drop the finish assembly in after drywall and paint.
2) Can I use the GBR-A housing on an Energy Star bath fan job?
Yes. The GreenBuilder GBR-A housing is part of an Energy Star rated ventilation fan assembly, which is what matters when a bath fan is being counted toward an energy code or green building credit on a multi-family or new construction job.
3) I already have Delta Breez GreenBuilder fans in the building. Can I order just a replacement housing?
That is exactly what the GBR-A is. If a housing was damaged during construction, or a unit was framed in wrong, you can buy the housing on its own rather than a complete fan.
