Delta Breez ITGLED-A – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the Delta Breez ITGLED-A include the fan motor and grille, or is it just the housing?
The ITGLED-A is the housing only from the Delta Breez BreezIntegrity line. You get the mounting can for rough-in, not a complete fan assembly, so the motor/blower pack and grille have to be ordered separately. Contractors buy it this way to set housings during framing and add the fan pack after drywall and paint.
2) I have an existing Delta Breez Integrity fan that quit. Do I need this housing or just the fan pack?
If the can in the ceiling is sound and the duct is still connected, you do not need the ITGLED-A. The housing is the sheet metal box that stays in the ceiling; a failed motor is replaced with the fan pack. Order the ITGLED-A when the housing itself is damaged, missing, or you are roughing in a new opening.
3) Is the Delta Breez BreezIntegrity fan Energy Star rated?
Yes, the BreezIntegrity ventilation fan line is Energy Star qualified, which is what most multi-family and green-build specs call for on bathroom exhaust.
4) Can I use the ITGLED-A housing to rough in bathroom exhaust before the ceiling is closed up?
That is the normal use for it. The housing mounts to the joists and takes the 4 inch duct run while the ceiling is open, then the fan pack and grille go in at trim-out. Ordering the can separately also lets a GC stock housings by the pallet for a multi-unit job and match fan packs to the airflow each room needs.
