1) Can the Delta Breez SIG80-110HLED be ducted to 4 inch or does it need 6 inch?
Both. The SIG80-110HLED accepts 4 inch and 6 inch duct. Run it on 6 inch if you want the full 110 CFM with the least restriction; 4 inch works for shorter, straighter runs. The fan is rated at 0.1 to 0.25 inches static pressure, and the motor self-compensates its speed to hold the intended airflow when it sees static pressure, so a longer run will not simply starve the room.
2) What size bathroom will an 80/110 CFM Delta Breez Signature fan handle?
The SIG80-110HLED is set up for spaces up to 110 square feet, with the high speed field-selectable at 80 or 110 CFM. Pick 80 CFM for a typical 8x10 bath, 110 CFM for larger rooms or ones with a separate tub and shower. Below the humidity set-point it can also run continuously at 0, 30, 50, 60 or 80 CFM for whole-room background ventilation.
3) How does the humidity sensor on the SIG80-110HLED actually control the fan?
The sensor is user-adjustable. Set a humidity threshold; when the room goes above it, the fan jumps to full speed (80 or 110 CFM, whichever high speed you selected). When humidity is below the set-point, it holds a pre-set continuous low level you choose from 0, 30, 50, 60 or 80 CFM. That low setting is how it doubles as continuous ventilation for a code-required background air change, and setting it to 0 makes it behave like an ordinary on-demand fan.
4) Do I need a dimmer switch for the LED light on the Delta Breez Signature?
The 13-watt main LED is dimmable, but no dimmer is supplied with the fan. If you want dimming you have to order a compatible wall dimmer separately. Without one the light simply runs at full output, 800 lumens. A 2-watt LED night light is built in as well.
5) What are the housing dimensions of the SIG80-110HLED for rough-in between joists?
