Deltana CH2517 Cabinet Hinge, 2-1/2" x 1-11/16", with Ball Tips (Pair)

The CH2517 measures 2-1/2 x 1-11/16 inches, with square corners rather than radius corners. That square corner matters: if the mortises already cut in your cabinet frame have rounded corners from a router template, this hinge will not drop into them without rework. It surface-mounts or mortises into a square-cut pocket.

Screws are included as #7 x 3/4 inch wood screws, six holes per hinge. No machine screws are supplied, so this is a wood-substrate hinge: face frame, stile, or a solid door edge. If you're hanging onto particleboard or a metal cabinet carcass you'll need your own fasteners.

This is a butt-style cabinet hinge with two flat leaves and a knuckle, 2-1/2 x 1-11/16 inches overall with square corners, screwed with #7 x 3/4 inch wood screws. That geometry suits inset doors where one leaf lands on the door edge or face and the other on the face frame. It is not a cup hinge and does not fit a 35mm bored door, and it carries no built-in overlay or European-style adjustment.

The CH2517 is a residential-duty cabinet hinge. For apartment kitchens, condo casework, hospitality guest room vanities, and similar light-cycle cabinet doors it's the right part. For high-cycle commercial casework, a nurse station, or a school shop room, spec a hinge rated for that duty instead.

Eleven finishes: PVD Polished Brass, Polished Brass, Unlacquered Brass, Antique Brass, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Antique Nickel, Polished Chrome, Brushed Chrome, and Paint Black. If you're matching an existing kitchen or a whole building's cabinetry, note the difference between PVD Polished Brass and standard Polished Brass, and that Unlacquered Brass is the one that will patina over time rather than hold its shine.

Solid brass throughout, not plated steel. That's the reason these hold up in kitchens, baths, and coastal properties where a plated steel hinge rusts at the knuckle. The leaf thickness is .093 inch, which is substantial for a cabinet hinge of this size.

Ball tip finials come standard on the CH2517, top and bottom, at no extra specification. There's no plain-tip version to choose between and no finial to add to the order. If your design calls for a flat or button tip instead, this isn't the hinge.

Six holes per hinge, three per leaf. Combined with the .093 inch solid brass leaf, that's enough fastening for a full-size cabinet door rather than a light face panel. Drilling pilot holes for the #7 screws keeps a hardwood stile from splitting.
