No. The DSBT3 ball tip is made for Deltana solid brass hinges sized 3 x 3 inches. On a 4 x 4 hinge the thread and tip diameter won't match, so you need the finial built for that hinge size instead.

It threads on 10 x 1mm, which is what Deltana's 3 x 3 inch solid brass hinge pins are tapped for. If your existing hinge pin is a different thread or an American size, the tip won't seat.

Eleven finishes are offered: Oil Rubbed Bronze, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Antique Nickel, Paint Black, Polished Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Polished Brass, Unlacquered Brass, Brushed Brass and Antique Brass. Pick the same finish code as the hinge leaves. Note that unlacquered brass will patina over time while the lacquered polished brass holds its color, so the two will drift apart in appearance if you mix them.

Each DSBT3 ball tip is sold individually, one per unit. A hinge takes two tips (top and bottom of the barrel), so order two per hinge, or four per door if you are running two hinges.

The ball measures 5/8 inch in diameter and 3/4 inch in height, so plan on about 3/4 inch of added length at each end of the barrel. Worth checking on a door that sits tight under a header or against a trim return.

Solid brass throughout, not a plated steel core. That matters on exterior and coastal openings where a plated finish over steel will bleed rust at the thread once the coating wears.

The DSBT3 is classed for commercial use, and it is common on hospitality, multi-family and historic-renovation work where the hinge is visible. It is trim on the hinge barrel and does not change how the hinge carries the door.
