No. The KIL trim is non-handed and completely reversible, so one part covers left and right hand openings. Handing is one less thing to get wrong on a multi-door order.
4) How does entry function behave on this exit trim versus storeroom?
Entry function means the lever can be left unlocked for normal traffic and locked by key when you want it secure, using a single cylinder from the outside. Storeroom trim stays locked at all times and the key only retracts the latch, no unlocked mode. If you want a tenant or office door that stays open during business hours and locks at close, entry is the one; for a mechanical room that must never be left unlocked, order the storeroom function.
5) Will this exit trim key into my existing Schlage C master key system?
It ships with a 6 pin brass cylinder in the Schlage C keyway with two keys, so it drops into an existing Schlage C system your locksmith already maintains. It is a conventional cylinder, not an interchangeable core, though a version prepped for small format IC core (less core) is offered if you run SFIC across the building. Keying is ordered keyed different as standard or keyed alike when you want multiple doors on one key.
6) Is the Design Hardware KIL trim ADA compliant and what grade is it?

Exit trim is matched to the device series, not swapped across brands. The Design Hardware KIL is a lever trim for 1000R and 2000R devices. For Von Duprin, the 210K-BE is a knob with blank escutcheon for 22 Series, and the E360L-BE-03 is a Grade 1 electric passage trim with an 03 lever for 33/35A Series. For Sargent, the 744 is a Grade 1 freewheeling night latch trim for 8700 and 8900 Series surface vertical rod and mortise devices. Identify the device series on the door first, then pick the trim built for it.
9) What is the closest equivalent to the Design Hardware KIL entry trim from another brand?

Total projection is 2-7/8 inches with a 5 inch solid zinc diecast lever, mounted on a 3-3/8 inch wrought brass rose. That projection matters where the door swings past a wall return or into a tight vestibule, and the rose diameter tells you how much of the old trim footprint gets covered when you are swapping something out.
12) Can I get this exit trim with a curved lever instead of flat?
Flat is the standard lever design, and Design Hardware also builds this trim with Curved, Half Curved, S-A and S-B lever shapes. If you are matching lever profiles already hanging on the other doors in a building, that choice is made when you order, not in the field.
13) What should I use instead if I need keyed lever trim on a heavier-duty or different brand exit device?
The KIL is matched to Design Hardware 1000R and 2000R rim devices, so it is not a cross-brand part. For a similar keyed entry escutcheon lever trim from another line, the Tell EDELT53 is entry function and covers 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inch doors. If your function is storeroom rather than entry, the Pamex E9000 is a Grade 1 heavy duty storeroom lever trim rated 1-3/8 to 2 inch doors. 14) Do I need trim at all on my exit device, or just a pull?
You only need keyed lever trim if people have to get back IN through that door. If the opening is exit-only and nobody re-enters, a pull or exit-only trim is simpler and cheaper: BEST makes 1700 Series wide stile and 2000 Series narrow stile exit-only pull trim, and Detex offers a dummy S-lever with blank escutcheon. Choose the KIL entry trim when the door is a tenant, office or service entrance that staff key back through.
