1) Will the Don-Jo 16 CW wrap around plate work with a Mas-Hamilton Power Lever?
That's exactly what the 16 CW is cut for. It's a 5-1/8 x 15 inch wrap around with a hole sized for the Mas-Hamilton Power Lever body, plus a latch prep indent, so the electronic lock mounts through the plate instead of you having to relieve it on site. If you're covering a door for a different lock family, this isn't the plate, the cutout is specific to the Power Lever.
2) I have a chewed-up door around an old lock. Will a wrap around plate cover the damage or do I need to replace the door?
A wrap around covers it, and that's the whole point of the part. The 16 CW wraps the lock edge and covers a 5-1/8 inch wide by 15 inch tall area on the face of the door, hiding gouges, old filled prep, and screw holes from a previous lock, while giving the new Power Lever a flat, reinforced surface to mount to. No. The 16 CW is cut for a lever, specifically the Mas-Hamilton Power Lever, and the opening is shaped for that electronic lock body rather than a round knob rose. For a cylindrical knob or a standard lever lockset you want a wrap around from the same Don-Jo family cut for that prep instead.
