1) Does the Don-Jo 946 CW wrap around work on a 1-3/8 inch door?
It is sized for 1-3/4 inch doors, the standard commercial thickness, so a 1-3/8 inch door is the wrong application. A wrap around bends around the lock edge and the legs are formed to a set thickness. On the thinner door the plate stands proud of the faces and will not pull up flat. 1-3/8 inch is common on older interior and residential openings, and those need a plate made for that thickness.
2) My knob has a 2-3/8 inch backset. Can I still use the Don-Jo 946 CW wrap around plate?
No. The 946 CW is bored for a 2-3/4 inch backset, so on a 2-3/8 inch prep the holes land 3/8 of an inch off and the lock body will not pass through. 2-3/8 and 2-3/4 are the two standard backsets in the trade, and a wrap around has to be ordered to match the one already in the door. Measure from the door edge to the center of the bore, not to the edge of the hole, before you order.
3) What is a double lock combination lockset, and how do I tell if that is what is on my door?
It means two 2-1/8 inch bores through the door face, one for the knob or lever and a second above it for a deadbolt or auxiliary lock, spaced 6 inches apart center to center.
