Dortronics 1000/1110/1115/1120 Series - 1" Thick Filler Plate for Narrow Stop

Two widths, 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch, each in three lengths: 8-1/4 inch, 12-1/2 inch and 23 inch. All are 1 inch thick. Pick the length to match the maglock body you are mounting and the width to make up the shortfall on your stop.

Measure the usable flat of your door stop and compare it to the footprint the magnet needs. The filler makes up the difference: order the 1/2 inch width where you are short by about a half inch, the 5/8 inch where you need a little more. Both are offered in the same three lengths, 8-1/4, 12-1/2 and 23 inches.

Match the plate length to the lock body. The 8-1/4 inch plate suits the shorter single magnets, 12-1/2 inch the full-size units, and 23 inch covers the long or double magnet bodies. Ordering short leaves part of the magnet unsupported against the stop, so size up rather than down.

A filler plate handles depth only, where the stop is present but too shallow for the magnet to seat fully. If there is no top jamb surface to mount to at all, or you need to drop the magnet below the header or turn it for an inswing, that is a bracket job (L, Z or top jamb bracket), not a filler. The 1 inch thick filler is the right part when the mounting face exists and simply needs building out by 1/2 or 5/8 inch.
