Mustee 3636CBT – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Mustee 3636CBT shower floor meant for a corner shower?
Yes. The Mustee 3636CBT Durabase is a neo-angle shower floor, which is the five-sided shape built to drop into a 90 degree corner with the entry cut across the diagonal. It covers a 36 by 36 inch corner footprint, so the two back walls each need a clear 36 inches. If your opening is a straight three-wall alcove, a neo-angle base is the wrong shape and a rectangular base is what you want.
2) What is the model number for the Mustee 36x36 neo-angle shower base in biscuit?
3636CBT is the Mustee part number, and it is the only model on the Durabase 36 by 36 neo-angle biscuit floor. Order by that number; the CBT suffix is what separates the biscuit neo-angle from the rest of the Durabase line.
3) Does the Mustee 3636CBT come with a drain?
The 3636CBT is sold as the shower floor itself. Plan the job to include a compatible shower drain assembly and trap, plus whatever waterproofing and wall surround you are using, since the base is the pan only.
4) Can I use the Mustee 3636CBT Durabase floor with a tile or panel wall surround?
Yes. A Durabase neo-angle floor is the pan only, so the walls above it are yours to choose, tile over a waterproof backer or a solid surround panel. Whichever you pick has to be cut to the neo-angle geometry, two 36 inch back walls meeting at the corner with the angled front carrying the door.
