Mustee 3636CM – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Mustee 3636CM Durabase shower floor fit a 36 by 36 inch corner shower opening?
The 3636CM Durabase is a 36 x 36 inch neo-angle shower floor, so it is built for a square 36 by 36 corner framed opening where the door face cuts across the corner at an angle. Frame the two wall legs to a full 36 inches each and set the base into the corner. If your corner rough opening is smaller than 36 inches on either leg, this floor will not drop in.
2) What is a neo-angle shower floor and when should I use one instead of a standard rectangular base?
A neo-angle floor like the Mustee 3636CM sits in a corner with two wall legs and a third angled front face that carries the door, so the entry faces diagonally into the room. Use it when you are building into a corner and want the door to swing into open floor rather than at a wall. If the shower runs along a single wall or into an alcove between two walls, a rectangular base is the right choice instead.
3) What is the manufacturer part number for the 36x36 Mustee neo-angle shower base?
Mustee lists it as model 3636CM. That is the number to put on a purchase order or hand to a distributor for the 36 x 36 white Durabase neo-angle floor; the CM suffix identifies this neo-angle model within the Durabase line.
