Mustee 3838CM – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the Mustee 3838CM Durabase shower floor fit a corner shower opening?
Neo-angle is a corner shape: two walls meet at the back corner and the door face runs across the diagonal. The 3838CM Durabase floor covers a 38 by 38 inch corner footprint, so measure your two wall legs from the inside corner out. Both legs need to be at least 38 inches clear of studs and any finished wall material for the base to drop in.
2) Is the Mustee 3838CM neo-angle base a square 38x38 or a true angled front?
It is a true neo-angle, not a square base. The 38 by 38 dimension describes the two wall legs that sit against the corner; the front is cut on the diagonal for a neo-angle door and enclosure. A square 38 inch base will not accept a neo-angle enclosure, and a neo-angle base will not work under a straight-front door.
3) Do I order the Mustee Durabase 3838CM by a part number, or are there size and drain variations to pick?
One part number covers it: Mustee model 3838CM. There are no size, hand, or color choices to specify on this base, so the order is the model number and quantity. Confirm your corner opening takes the 38 by 38 neo-angle footprint before you order, since there is no alternate size under the same number.
